Eye on the Dot

How many dots are on your white chart?  Try drawing one with black ink.  Now, focus on the one dot.  Do not focus on all of the white space on the chart.  Focus on that little dot.

The dot represents what you are going after.  You are not to go after a bunch of dots.  You are going after that one dot.

Concentrate on the dot.  Let everything else revolve around the dot.  Keep your eyes and ears attuned to the dot.

What might the dot be?  When you consider the universe, the dot might represent the will of God.  There are plenty of good things to do.  My counsel is to focus on the will of God.  One dot is all you need if it is the correct dot.

I need to focus my eyes and ears on the will of God.  That is the dot I am committed to.  I am not committed to all of the white space.  I am totally wrapped up in the one dot.  His will has my devoted attention.  His will is where my faith is planted.  I have my faith wrapped around that dot.

I am motivated to keep my focus on the dot.  The will of God inspires me.  I build my life around His will.  His will is the dot that I am spotlighting.

Here is an example of keeping my eyes and ears on the will of God, the dot.  I am eating in a fast food restaurant when a lady tells me about her problems with her teenager.  Since the will of God is my focus, I hear through God-sensitized ears.  This is not just a woman telling me her woes.  It is the will of God for me to minister to this lady.  Perhaps I will pray with her.  Perhaps I will counsel her in the Word and will of God.  Perhaps I will deliver to her a Word from the Word of God.

Everywhere I go and everything I do has to do with the dot.  As I focus on it, I will hear things I might never have heard otherwise.  The will of God should be first in all that I do.

Are your eyes and ears focused on the dot?  Is the focus of your life finding and doing the will of God?  Today is a great day to get started.

Now is the time to get your eyes on the dot.  Get motivated and do great things in Jesus.
