Motivational Moment

Get started!  Nothing happens until you get started.  You can dream, make plans, discuss and know what needs to happen, but if you do not get started, nothing happens.

Grip the pen and start writing.  Lace the jogging shoes and start the run.  Take step one, then two, then three, etc.  Stir the paint and start painting.

Just as in story where there is a beginning, middle and an end, you must begin.  There will be no middle and end until you start.

You may have said, “I will read the Bible.”  Yet, year after year, your Bible gathers dust.  You promise yourself, “I will do it.”  But you will not do it unless you open your Bible.  Get started.  Do something. 

As they say in the Army, “Move out!” 

I pray that you will start that project today.  Do that thing you have thought about doing.  Stop any and all procrastination. 

“Lord, help me to do what I plan to do.  Help me get started.  Guide me through the process and encourage me to achieve.  In Jesus’ name, amen.”
